Indian Head Massage is traditionally an invigorating massage focussing on the upper shoulders, neck and head.  It was brought to the west in the 1970’s after being practiced in India for thousands of years. 

The client is usually seated, fully clothed, and deep massage techniques, along with pressure points are used by the therapist to loosen muscular tension.  Firm and rhythmic strokes are applied over the shoulders, neck and scalp to promote clarity and relaxation.  The arms are also included to relieve tension.
